Isaiah — Chapter 12
"Yes, indeed—God is my salvation.
I trust, I won't be afraid.
God—yes God!—is my strength and song,
best of all, my salvation!" Isaiah 12: 2
If God were my song, could He be sung? By me?
A lot of tunes are way too demanding for me to handle...out of my range or too much breath required. What would He sound like?
I'd imagine that any melody holding the Maker would be unheard of. Any rhythm driving the Redeemer would be unstoppable. Any harmony built from Jehovah would be undaunted, stacking it's way in triads and complex chords all the way to Heaven and back, like a blessed Tower of Babel or a slinky that defies more than just gravity and logic.
If God were a song, would He get stuck in your head?
If God were a song, would I have the guts to try?
